Since

2009

At 43 started to serve customers on 21 November 2009. At first year, we operated this premise as café and so we served food and services for customers only daytime. Since our second year, we have been a unique dual cuisine eatery offering the best of modern Australian food and Thai cuisine. We have provided café food style during the day and Thai food at nighttime as café by day and Thai restaurant by night.

Why we call At 43 because of location which is number 43 (43 Anderson Street, Yarraville, Victoria 3013).

At 43 is in Melbourne’s renowned Yarraville Village. We are just minutes walk from the Railway Station and the Village’s famous Sun Theatre. Located in the midst of the charming and uniform shopfront strip of the bustling Anderson and Ballarat Streets, we are a busy eatery surrounded by many award winning restaurants and cafés.

Our

CAFE & THAI RESTAURANT

During the day, we offer a dual cuisine breakfast and lunch menu. For breakfast, our diners have the options of all our classic Aussie breakfast items such as the Egg & Bacon roll, Eggs Florentine, Smashed Avocado on Toast and the Big Breakfast. We also have the everyday Thai breakfast items to choose from, including the Thai omelette Kai Jeaw and Fried eggs with mince and sausages, Kai Ka Ta.

For lunch, our menu offers the classic western range including club sandwich, focaccias, salads and burgers as well as the traditional Thai Chicken Satays, Masaman Curries, Pad Thai and Thai Coffee or Tea.

By night, our café transforms into a Thai restaurant with a much more extensive menu. Our dinner menu comes with an assortment of Thai entrees, soups and salads including with golden bags filled with corn and vegetables, served with Thai dipping sauce, or an authentic chincken wrapped in pandan leaf.

For mains, we offer a large selection of traditional Thai favorites including King Prawn Panang and Red Duck Curry, fried whole snappers, grilled pork fillets as well as stir fries and noodles. Our guests also have the options of finishing off their meals with a selection of our traditional Thai desserts. With an eclectic retro design, our eatery has a homely, comfortable ambience. We are fully licensed with a small but good quality wine, beer and liquor list. Our diners are also welcome to bring their own wine.

All items on our menus are prepared and cooked on our restaurant premises by our staff using fresh and natural ingredients that we source from suppliers. We do not add any MSG to our cooking. We are always happy to tailor our dishes to suit allergies and food intolerances on request. We also offer a selection of cakes, dessert slices and biscuits on display and our diners are welcome to take their pick any time of the day. We make our cakes and biscuits on display from scratch on our premises and we order dessert slices from our supplier.
